Are tax lien homes a good investment. All opinions welcomed
My agents have edging me to look into tax liens. I personally don’t know to much except you just pay off the taxes the recent owner couldn’t. Do anybody have any stories or advice on how to deal with tax lien properties?

I am originally from Alabama. This is not a good state to buy liens if you want to get houses that you can rent. It takes 3 years or longer and additional work get a property in Alabama because they can sell a new lien for 3 consecutive years.
My state of SC, I can buy a lien and after the 12 month redemption period is up I get a deed in the mail with no additional effort on my part.
Tax liens have become increasingly competitive with more and more investors dumping large sums of cash into the auctions.
