Introduction (San Antonio Local)

Hello BP community!  5 months ago, I started building a new home and decided to turn my existing home (located in Converse) into a rental property rather than sell.   I am active in the Financial Independence space, so was aware of Bigger Pockets and what it had to offer.  Since then I've spent a lot of my free time trying to catch up on all of the past podcasts (still have a lot of them to go!) and doing as much research as I can.   I've read the Ultimate Beginner's Guide and all the linked articles.  I'm now about to start Brandon's book.   I'd love to know if there are any other resources I should be look into.  Since I'm a bit more educated on the matter, I've decided I'm ready to join in on the discussions.

I've hired a property manager for the first few years since I tied the business to the purchase contract of the house I building and got a great deal.  My long term goals are to buy and hold more properties.  At the moment I believe my plan is going to be turning a home equity loan on my Converse home into the purchase of a second property.   Since it was my primary residence, I have a decent amount of equity in it.

I look forward to interacting in the community.
