I just moved here to invest but do not know much about the market. I don't have a great credit score and no money saved up but I know there are ways around that starting out! Anyone have any advice on my first purchase and how to go about it? Thanks!
You may want to try starting by looking for run down properties to wholesale.
@neil aggarwal do you have suggestions on the best way to find these whether it's tax sales, foreclosures or? Also any idea of financing? Thanks.
Account Closed There is a great local REI club that meets in Hurst weekly that is offering a wholesaling class that is phenomenal, and inexpensive. Send me a PM to connect and I will get you the details. I always like mentoring wholesalers.
There are a few things you can do to overcome this obstacle.
1) Take a Grant Cardone approach and sell something to make a lot of money in a short amount of time. Perhaps become a real estate agent or wholesale properties. Save as much of that money as possible and then invest it.
2) Syndicate the deal. Use OPM (Other People's Money). This will require you to pitch your investing plan to accredited investors.
People have been successful with both strategies, so it's really up to you. Good luck and hopefully we'll meet soon at a meeting!
