Jerry Norton programs ($10k finder fee - Powerflipper)

Spring, TX · Member since 2015 · 1 post · 18 votes

Let's discuss Jerry Norton's Powerflipper 3.0 with a finder's fee of $10,000 for any deal you find them.  I THINK IT'S A SCAM.  If anyone has had success of has had a deal accepted by them where they actually paid them the $10,000 finder fee... please reply to my discussion.  Of if you have ANYTHING to say about Jerry Norton's programs that others should be aware of, please feel free to share.

News Flash! If anyone finds a deal that meet the criteria Jerry is looking for then contact me and I will take it and pay you 10k and you wont even have to pay anything up front. I am sure there are plenty of cash buyers looking for deals at 65% ARV.

I would not invest with him nor buy his program.

Jeff, could you elaborate a little bit on this guy. I do not want to say this guy is a scammer because many tactics he introduced is pretty helpful to me at least.

Marcus, if you find deals fit his criteria, you should able to wholesale to other local investors. You do not need to sell to him.

I just watched a free webinar and was curious; so I found this.. Glad I did!!! Thank you to everyone who commented and thank you to BP!!  Sad they are still promoting that program.. They are probably just using the list of all the properties brought to them and profiting in some other way..

Glad I found this site.  I was skeptical and passed but needed to try to verify.

I have a question.  Is the Flipster program worth the price?  It does appear to be a nice program.  Although I could do the same on Excel but the interface, saving deals and most importantly the search function seems nice.

@James Williamson Don't waste your money on Flipster. Very limited searches you can pull per month. I unfortunately tried it and was highly disappointed. Your best bet is either REI Automator AKA (Propstream) for $97/mo which allows you somewhere around 10 K searches per month or FreedomSoft (Full system of search, CRM, Skiptracing, etc) for $197/mo which allows unlimited searches per month. Depends on where you are in you wholesale venture

I have never dealt with Jerry. Funny thing is people would say 1k is too much alot of free info on here ..I agree alot of great info. Yet you have people lined up in retailers spending more than that on the new iPhone. No wonder this world is so bad off smh. Lol

I have been off work for about a month due to covid 19 pandemic. I was working on my financing to start investing in on income property. Not having any income, I was starting to feel desperate and was one the edge of purchasing the program when I decided to do some due diligence. I am glad I thought about looking here in BP and keep my 1k.

Just came off his webinar which was obviously a replay even though they made it appear as live.

Lots of sales techniques like social proof, testimonials, people buying it live, time scarcity...understandable else it's proven that people don't buy combined with the fact that Jerry is a busy man...

Have things changed as of today? Is Jerry legit today?

And what's an alternative way similar to Jerry's program?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

I attended his vacant lot deal finding webinar last week and decided the $1000 price tag for access to his software was out of my budget, so I wasn't going to be giving him any money. However, finding this thread is an even bigger sigh of relief for me, as it shows that I'm definitely not missing out on anything by not giving this guy my hard earned money. I just wish more people would find this site and thread before falling for his sales pitch.

Thank you BP!!!! My membership with BP has saved me many times over! I found something I thought Jerry might be interested in with good cash flow, even at asking price, but after reading all of this I know NOT to waste my money. I am sadly disappointed in Jerry. I agree that some of his tools do add value and after watching countless videos of him promoting his $10K program, I REALLY thought that he was an honest person, that genuinely just wanted to help people get out there and get in the game! Wow was I sadly mistaken. By the way, what is that statue he has placed always within view while he is presenting? Is that Jesus? Really? He should be ashamed of himself! I feel so sorry for those people that are trying to get started and are mislead without finding this thread.

Ive known about and followed BP for a while and this post actually convinced me to register here and comment.

Here I was getting ready to drop $1k on this "my10kcheck" program from this guy who's YouTube channel I've been following (Flipping Mastery TV) for his wholesale information. I even called the number at the end of the webinar to ask how earnest money works, which they claim they pay upon completion of inspection.

So glad I did a google search for reviews and found this thread. Conversely, not one single review from a user who had any success. Plenty of feedback on https://www.ripoffreport.com/r... - As recently as last year.

Rick Klingenstein posted " I paid $180 for Carlton Sheets No money down deal course hardcopy books and cd's well I bought the house I was renting with 0 down."

I also bought Carlton Sheets course. There was a lot of info and a bit over whelming. But I was successful with it. I was able to purchase a house from a couple for the cost of a title transfer fee, and a refi loan. The point I would like to make is that I don't trust any course that wants me to spend a large amount of money to get their supper duper easy and fast track to riches system. But what I would say is that some of the info in them is legit and it can be useful. With that said I think I would want to spend the time gleaning that info from places like BP then taken the chance on getting ripped off. Do the Work.

Its the "success tax" or the "10000 hour rule" at play, we all have to PAY on the way to success

Interesting to see the Guru debate continues. The same players involved with some additions along the way. These people are probably making more playing on fomo and desire to be self sufficient than the wholesaling they claim to do.

You know… my experience with those who are “gurus” is that I would rather spend the time, effort and resources I have to learn the subject. In other words, I think that a lot of people look for shortcuts - or at the very least look for convenience. I don’t fault them at all. I understand, and in my earlier years just getting started, I probably would have been more interested. Let’s face it. This stuff is hard. But the question I find myself asking in this circumstance is, why would I spend the time and effort to find someone else a killer deal for 10K, when I can try to wholesale a deal for myself?

It comes down to effort, right? When we run into walls, we look for easy ways out. If the problem is not having the funds, for some it might be too hard to find a hard money lender. If the problem is not being in close proximity, for some it might be too hard to book a flight to see the property for themselves. If the problem is you have to get on the phone and cold call, for some it might be too uncomfortable to jump on a call - or worse - face rejection.

Essentially, what a lot of these "gurus" do is appeal to an audience that doesn't want to do the heavy, uncomfortable lifting. And I 100% don't blame them for doing so. Ultimately, at the end of the day, they are offering a service, and people are buying into it. However, it does come at a cost, and generally the cost is the ROI or time/money spent looking for the shortcut.

This sounds like that boiler room from back in the day called Nu-way.  You'd pay them 5k to bird dog for them, and they'd throw you crumbs if they closed on your lead...if you were lucky.  They were shut down.

I just saw this BP thread.:(

    First,  Thank you to:

Ashley W. Real Estate Agent from Miami Beach, FL - replied 5 years ago

Michelle Walker Real Estate Professional from Chicago, Illinois - replied over 5 years ago  and

Mark Hoopes - replied almost 2 years ago

It appears that you folks have used Jerry Norton's program and you have provided detailed, very helpful commentary here on BP.  Mark I really wish I had seen your post before I paid for JN's program.

    Also high five to:

Anne Barnett Wholesaler from Omaha, NE - replied over 1 year ago
I noticed that statue in the background of JN's videos also - I wondered if it was placed there as his "good luck" piece or placed strategically to impress his audience.

My experience:  I came across Jerry Norton's RE investing book several years ago but had not bought into any program back then. Recently, I was looking for a simple lead + CRM system.  I was impressed with Jerry's scores of YouTube videos which provided helpful tips including his live phone calls demonstrating his wholesaling techniques. So I took a chance and paid for the Flipster Pro Program (which BTW is separate from his $10K finders program) and I started using Flipster. I must admit the forms included are professional looking but not state specific - which is disclosed in the program.  I only stopped because I was getting hung up with the email CRM (it does not function as I expected since I have to send each of  200 generated leads an email manually instead of as an email blast).  Then, I also noticed that although 200 leads were deducted from my 25,000 monthly balance only 160 names populated on my email list (yes I counted... lol!). Although not tragic, still a small red flag - ok so 24,800 leads to go.

While taking a break from the email task, I came across this BP thread - WOW!  It is so disturbing that I have not seen even 1 positive experience here about any of Jerry Norton's programs.

He does offer a money back guarantee, so I am going to keep working it and try to remember to keep you posted here on my success or flop using it.

I have a question for all of you who might be thinking about buying into these guru's programs. If these  "guru's" are so good at wholesaling, why do they spend so much time and effort selling their programs? I wholesale houses and there's not enough time in the day, let alone us trying to sell people a program. Plus, if they're THAT good, why aren't they raking in the big bucks from doing the business on their own? Why aren't they out there wholesaling??? I've seen many of these courses and they all seem to be very generic. They don't talk about things like how to specifically put no money down on a contrcat. They don't talk about state specific title companies and contracts. Most of the contracts they give people are a joke. They don't talk about the little "golden" nuggets that you need to know, when it comes to wholesaling. They want your money and that's ALL that matters. I use to mentor newbies at an extremely low fee. Why did I mentor? To give back. It took me a couple of years to get my business firing on all 4 cylinders and I felt I should give back to others. I didn't want people struggling the way I struggled. As far as payment, all I wanted was my time covered and I charged a lousy $100 a month. Not a week, a month. That was 4, 2 hour sessions a month and they could call me anytime with questions. I mentored people who had taken almost every course out there. Here's another question. If these courses are so great and teach you everything you need to know, WHY were these people coming to me, to learn the business? I think you get my point. Best of luck to all of you.

There is a simple answer to this..  they DONT  these guys are trainers there is huge money in it far more than they could make actually wholesaling .. think about it the amount of properties that can be wholesaled is quite small actually very very narrow real estate niche

The amount of dreamers who want to  make money wholesaling and then buy rentals then retire ( this is a common theme among those who start the wholesaling gig).  is darn near in exhaustible.  And to top it off the Gurus simply hire one of the  fulfillment companies that do all the marketing and work for them for of course a portion of the revenue that is a huge business too with fulfillment companies making millions upon millions.  Keep in mind a fulfillment company might rep  Tony Robbins and other motivational speakers and rep your wholesaling guru or fix and flip guru like Tarik and his X wife were doing..  Make no mistake these guys make FAR more money selling their systems than any wholesaler who actually works in wholesaling could ever do.
