I'm attending Phil Grove REI big event and he just pitched the big dog program. Is it worth it?

How many "bones" must you feed the big dog to be part of the program?   I'm not familiar with Mr. Grove, but (IMHO) most of the {pricy} programs aimed at newer investors do not provide an adequate return on your capital out lay (which can be as much, or more, than the down-payment on a property).

If you are the type of person who learns best in a formal setting , as opposed to self-study, I would suggest that auditing a course or two on real estate at a local college or university would provide a more in-depth knowledge with out all the salesmanship for the "Even Bigger Dog" programme.
