Does anyone know of a rei group in the Towson or white marsh are. I'm currently living in Maryland and just graduated and wanted some advice on how to start investing in real estate.

MDREIA is the oldest in the Baltimore area, if not the state and they are located in Parkville.

The group that meets in Towson is the Baltimore REIA. However I would not limit myself to just that group. There are many REI groups in the area.

@Alfie Bartley - do you think MAREIA is good? Any sense of value vs. upselling and general fluff?

@Lisa S. I have never been upsold on anything when I went. They've had beginner workshops, pointed discussions and specific group meetings, but I was never upsold on anything that I can remember. That doesn't mean they aren't doing it, but in my experience I have not. I know there is an annual membership fee if you want certain benefits and by joining you'll become part of the NREI. The Shark Tank meeting was excellent and the pitch your flip meetings are great as well. I met a lot of financiers and investors looking to do business. In fact I just received a text today from a member there asking if I had anything in Fells Point or Federal Hill. I say go to one meeting. I think it will cost you $20 but food and drinks are included. I think the next Shark Tank is in October.

@Andre Mudiay have you ever heard of RECN? (Real Estate Club Network)? They are at a lot of the universities in the area (including Towson) and they help folks get starting in Real Estate investing.

You should check them out, great resource.
