Person to place bandit signs?

Looking for some advice on how to find the right person to place our bandit signs.  Where did you find your person? (Craigslist, word of mouth, etc)....

Are they an independent contractor or employee?  How many signs do you have them put out so that it's worth both their time and your money?  Who pays for their gas?  What's the max radius you have them go?

We are looking to outsource this part of our marketing and need some advice.  We want to structure it right from the beginning so that we are able to find someone serious and can have them put out signs consistently each weekend.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

LOL!

The only BSP (Bandit Sign Police) I have ever dealt with are other investors!

I've never hired anyone to do my bandit signs. Definitely don't make them an employee. Unless you want to file employer taxes on them, give them benefits, tools, unemployment taxes when they quit/get fired, liability insurance, safety equipment etc etc. (And we wonder why unemployment is so high right?

Have them submit invoices to you, describe the job you want done not how to do it. If you go into too much detail telling them how to do their job, how many hours to work, when to take breaks etc your state may classify them as an employee even though you don't! So just tell them what you want done and have them invoice you.

I would start by asking other REIA members if they can refer their guy before turning to craigslist. That's not experience just wisdom.

Please do keep us informed of how things go and if you encounter the mythical BSP!
