DIRECT MAIL COMING IN HOT DFW!! Advice?! Experience?

ITS TIME!!! My first direct mail campaign will begin. First things first. I'm aware that it's a smart idea to send out cheap postcards to find the return addresses for further investigation. Secondly, yellow letters seem to be the go-to letters for the best return rate. This will be the route I will go after the post cards. I'm sending out 5k postcards than letters in the Tarrant county area. Specifically: Hurst, North Richland Hills, Keller, Watagua, and some of Fort Worth. Now my question... Oh wow Justin, I must have missed it. How long ago did you dive into the direct mail provider service? Nice website by the way. Looks like you're using one of those handwriting machines that government offices are so fond of. 

I personally have not found the pretty envelope technique to substantially increase open and read (response) rate, and of course does not increase conversion rate at all. The messaging looks pretty much the same as I have seen elsewhere. 

What I have seen work is being persistent and consistent. I succeeded in an over worked, over saturated market (DFW) by being in the right place at the right time. The more consistent I was, the "luckier" I got. I also follow up with everyone. Fully 25% of my business comes from following up with folks who told me "no" the first time.
