Yaniv,

My fiance does turnkey properties in the STL area, and if you want I can send you her contact info.

Other than that I do business and residential insurance downtown, live downtown, and have been in the STL area since the early 1980s.  If you are looking for an agent that can find you short sales and foreclosures, I have someone for you as well.

Working class areas would be places like South County and maybe St. Charles County, but STC is about 40 miles outside of the city.  I would stick to places like Soulard and Tower Grove.  Plenty of inventory, renters, and jobs in those areas in the price range you are looking for.

Send me a message if you need some more info.

Zachary

Welcome, Yaniv! I'm a new Saint Louis real estate investor with a similar price range. I'm afraid I can't yet offer much way in the way of specific advice just yet, but I'll shoot you a Colleague invite so I can follow along with your progress. Perhaps we'll be able to bounce some things off each other as we both move forward with our respective goals.

Hi Yanev, I can advise you about what's on the market in that price range.  I am a real estate agent and work with many investors, a few from Israel too!  If you are currently residing in Israel, I am also a Certified International Property specialist and may be able to provide resources to help with a purchase from outside the US.

Yaniv, how is it going for you. I came few months back to St Louis area and looking at tax sale/foreclosure opportunities and how they work. Does anyone on these forums has experience with tax sales in St Louis County area and how best to work through it?
