Investor friendly agent in New York city

Hello biggerpockets,

What would you suggest for somebody who is looking to begin working as an agent who specializes in investing. How to successfully get started? What companies i would better work with?

The thought of being a traditional agent with focusing on regular home buyers doesn’t attract me at all. I have been spending every available minute studying, reading, listening all I can find about real estate investing and this is what drives me and this is where I want to be. And also I live in NY. Are any investor friendly agents there? How did you start? Or do you think I would better working with other markets as a beginner?  Please any advices?

Thank you

Irina

Hello Irina,

@Alex Franks Offered some great advice. I would network with investors via BP or REI meetings. Also, get out there and interview different brokerages in your area and other areas. Check out open houses as well.

I am a new agent in the NY metro area and have found these interactions to be extremely helpful.

Best of luck to you!
