As a landlord who house hacks, I understand your plight.  I assign the chores but just clean up myself simply because its my property & have come to the conclusion that they won't take care of it like I will.  Just to avoid the headache, I raise the rent every year, lol.  You can write it into your future lease and assess fines as needed.
