New Investor in Charlotte, Looking to Learn & Connect”

Caled C Valbrun
Posted

Hi BiggerPockets community,

My name is Caled V. I’m 29 and recently moved to the Charlotte, NC/SC area. I work full-time as a registered nurse and also have a background in Forex, Futures, Options, and Commodities trading. Now I’m ready to start putting my income and discipline into real estate investing.

I’m completely new to real estate — I’ve never owned a home and don’t have any deals under my belt yet. That said, I’ve been learning about wholesaling, licensing/regulations in my area, and formulas like MAO. From trading, I understand the importance of patience, persistence, and networking, and I’m prepared to put in the work.

I’d love to connect with people in the Charlotte area who are open to sharing advice, insights, or even just the occasional conversation with someone motivated to learn.

What advice would you give someone just getting started?

Thanks,

Caled

Welcome Caled It sounds like you already have a strong foundation from trading and a lot of discipline that will serve you well in real estate Starting out can feel overwhelming but focusing on learning your local market and connecting with experienced investors makes a huge difference I work with a lending company and often see how creative financing helps new investors get their first deals going Feel free to connect if you want to swap more ideas
