My managing partner is an agent and has put together some absentee owner as well as owner occupied lists for a direct mail wholesaling campaign. What is the advantage of using a list sourcing company that compiles your list based on your sellers criteria and does the actual mailing?
both have pros and cons
your agent might get a better list depending on how old the list is , but sometime a list company might be better or worse .
probably not the answer that you wanted . lists are all like that . 50% could be good or 75% or 85% . its only after you have done both you can gauge the best one for you . and then again it could differ from person to person , type of list .
Hope this helps. If not, sorry .I tried . All the best.
If you're in a high-competition area, where other people buy the same lists and mail to them, your response rates with purchasing lists will be disappointing for the cost. If you're in an area with low competition, then purchasing a list may have a high ROI.
Why not put together your own list and purchase a list in 2 similar areas and run a split test? You'll have 2 target-able marketing areas too. It's a numbers game that requires sustained campaigns. No such thing as too many good leads. If one method outperforms, use that method to scale to other similar areas.
@Ray Lai - thank you, I will try that.
