Pro's vs Con's: Hand Writing Direct Mail (Wholesaling)

Looking to hear if anyone has attempted hand writing direct mail when first starting out wholesaling? If so, did anyone see positive or negative results?

I understand the process takes a bit longer and is not as scalable, but is there a potential benefit regarding authenticity to the owner/reader? I am targeting a specific market within wholesaling.

I would like to hear any thoughts if this template I created sounds sufficient for the time being,

"Hi _____Family,

My name is Daniel and I am a part-time investor here in insert city here. I have been looking to purchase a house in insert neighborhood here due to the great schools, friendly atmosphere, and amount of things to do nearby! If you have had any interest in selling recently, or know anyone in the area that may be interested, please send me an e-mail at _______ or text at ________.

Have a good rest of the day,

Daniel

P.S. I like the garden gnome/nice Heat flag/etc (just try to personalize something here)"

I agree with the responses below, but I think the template is solid.
