Driving for Dollars Question

Mario A Garza
Posted

As a newbie to REI, I have been driving for dollars. I understand that one should look for distressed properties, i.e. overgrown lawn, boarded up windows, tarped roofs, etc. On a good 2-hour drive, I have found 29 homes on my best day so far. Most days, I find fewer distressed properties. Quite often I read on postings about others driving for dollars and finding over a hundred properties in a matter of hours consistently. Can anyone who is having success D4Ds and finding high numbers of properties offer any advice to help me increase my numbers? Thanks.

It doesn't have to be as much as boarded-up windows, tarped roofs. Just look for older eaves/soffets, that have some rot. Garage door looks warped. Brown/dead lawn. Busted mailbox. Old car in driveway. Basic signs of deferred maintenance.
