Insurance recommendations for vacancy

we are beginning big renovations on our home. we moved everything out about a month ago
earlier this week I was told that we need a different type of coverage when the house is vacant

two days ago, the contractor went over to discover a whole punched in the roof from a fallen tree limb

what should I do?
