Invest in a syndication with your employers 401k?

I saw this today and thus could really open up the playing field if this were to pass. We have gotten on Schwabs platform which is not easy to do and there are a lot of hurdles to get listed but if you could get your syndication listed on other platforms this would really open up doors for many.

My fund was on Schwab’s approved list 2002 - 2012 because I had a large investor ($3 million +) who invested through a retirement account with Schwab.  They did want quarterly updates as to valuation and other financial docs, but the
”extra” work was almost nil.  We ended up getting investments from about 6 other investors from Schwab totaling another $1.5 million or so.
I’m sure the requirements, policies and regs are totally different today than they were in 2012 for Schwab .

for us the extra work is nil as we already have audited financials and transfer agent involved with our fund. If you are running a syndication by yourself or with one other and relying heavily on outsiders (accountants etc) then it would be near impossible.
