Contractor Payout Out of State

New investor here, How do I go about paying a contractor but having that secured feeling that I am going to be ripped off?

    That's not really a full story so it's hard to say, but generally, if you don't feel secure or confident in the person you hired, you shouldn't have hired them. If you are out of state, who connected you to the contractor and what references did they have?

    To not get ripped off, don't front a lot of money. Nothing better than four draws and never a lot of money up front "for materials".
