Thanks for the feedback Al and your interest in the additional information. Without knowing exactly who you are referring to, it's hard to know what that persons motivations are.  

We work with investors who have SD-IRA's with many of the major players in the space so I am in a bit of a unique position in dealing with these companies and their levels of customer service.

The SD-IRA with checkbook control definitely has its merits though and to argue strongly against them all together, in my opinion, is incorrect.

I'll defer to @Bernard Reisz though who is not only an expert in the space but also a CPA.  Bernard has set up accounts for a number of our investors and I am sold on his process and expertise.

LMDG Real Estate Value Fund II, LP has acquired its first two assets and renovation has already begun. The first property consists of an 8 unit value-add apartment building located in Alamitos Beach (Long Beach, CA). The property was acquired at approximately 60% of replacement cost and is operating at rents 40% below market.

The property is strategically located near Long Beach's Retro Row and Bixby Park and a short walk to the sand.

LMDG Real Estate Value Fund II, LP has acquired its first two assets less than 30 days from the launch of the fund and renovation has already begun.  The first property consists of an 8 unit value-add apartment building located in Alamitos Beach (Long Beach, CA). The property was acquired at approximately 60% of replacement cost and is operating at rents 40% below market.

The property is strategically located near Long Beach's Retro Row and Bixby Park and a short walk to the sand.

LMDG will renovate and stabilize the property at which time we estimate the value to be in the $2.9m - $3.2m range.

LMDG Real Estate Value Fund II, LP has acquired another asset, a 9 unit value-add apartment building located in West Hollywood "WeHo" near Fairfax and Santa Monica Blvd. The property was acquired at approximately 50% of replacement cost with current rents at 40% to market (representing a true Value-Add asset with tremendous upside).

The property is located just blocks from both The Grove/Farmers Market area, The Beverly Center, and the city of Beverly Hills. The property has been very poorly managed but has a great unit mix and provides incredible rent and cash flow upside.
