Jon Wright You've got some great suggestions & recommendations here, but the truth is that this is the most costly mistake most buyers make...not shopping around for lenders. Here's the reality, you're going to end up paying about $2,000 if not more of unnecessary "junk fees" at the closing table if you don't shop around. Ask for a quote from every lender that you shop. You can get a quote without getting your credit report pulled & without having to pay the $2000+ in fees that most lenders charge ($850 for underwriting, $500 for processing, $500 for the appraisal, 1% loan origination, etc.) inbox me if you're interested in a free quote.
