Where did you pick up this "Golden Rule" from? I been buying tax liens for a few years and even though I have been to a few properties locally I can honestly say that I almost NEVER go see the properties that I acquire. Although I must say, I do a ton of research before I buy a lien.

Here is a small list of counties that allow you to buy tax certs online.

If there is a county or state thats not on there then search them manually.

How many liens are on the property? Im assuming there tax liens? what state? I do tax liens and different states/counties have different rules, the more info you give the more we can help.

After the tax deed app is filed with the county and you take the property, I know the mortgage is wiped. My question is can the bank come after the new owner at all or just the old owner for the loss.

I have done tax liens before but only with land and they didnt have any with mortgages on them.

Any info?

@Harry M, Im sure that is a very fun job (lucky). Has the industry been hit hard by the economy.
