My initial though would be to identify a next of kin and ask if probate is open/closed and see if the house is for sale.  If there’s no next of kin, I’m not sure.

Link to my thread with a similar question:

I’m still waiting for answers too.

If I hear anything, I’ll let you know.

@Sean Blomquist, thanks for the recommendation.  Was this written by your boss?  Partner?…I see the author is the founder of Pine Financial Group.

Does this get into the nitty gritty?  Or is it more of an overview to the “Subject-To” and lease-option processes?

Shameless bump.  Still looking for information on probate acquisitions in Pittsburgh, PA.

Does anyone have info on how to acquire property from a deceased individual(s) with no next of kin?

Awesome info Jim!  Thanks for the knowledge-bomb!  I didn’t realize the major brand differences in buying appliances for tenant housing as opposed to buying appliances for home.

@Zachary Mckay,

I don’t have any recommendations, but I can’t tell you who to stay away from:

-Fagnelli

-Mertz

-Black Dog

-Terry’s Plumbing

As for pricing, a scope costs roughly $200-$400 depending on who you hired.  Not sure what hydrojetting costs are.  What work was done on your invoice for $700?

@RiChai Johnson,

Congrats on your duplex purchase!

What part of town did you buy in?  What’s your farm area?  What are your investment goals going forward?

As @Charles Thompson said, I’m open to networking and meeting up as well.

Welcome,

Dave
