@Jim K.,

I’ll drive “dahn” the Primanti’s on 51 to talk.  You tell me when.  Lunch and beer(s) on me.

@Jp Kilduff,

I haven’t.  Thanks for the tip.  I’ll look your company up and give it a shot.

All,

I've identified plenty of distressed properties "Driving for Dollars", but am hitting dead ends when trying to "skip trace" corporate owners. Has anyone identified an easy way to identify individual owners of an LLC? In many cases, it appears (in the Allegheny County Real Estate Assessment website at least) that the taxes haven't been paid for at least 4 years.

Any tips, tricks would be greatly appreciated,
Dave

@Jim K.,

I hope you get this reference:

Great 1, 2, 3, and honorable mentions.

I completely agree that there are many quirky goings-on in the Burgh’. As a forced transplant myself (wife’s family is from here, so naturally we moved back) I find myself as an outsider looking in many facets of live here.

One thing is for certain...I always find myself scratching my head asking, “Really?”

@Brent Zande,

I’ve too heard that the lumber shortage was due to importation restriction from Canadian lumber.

Not sure why lower housing starts/lower importation numbers of lumber is leading to such increases in price.  Something is still not priced correctly.  Hopefully the market balances itself soon and prices return to normal.

@Lauren Hardy,

Sorry I can’t give any specific input on your question.  I was gonna call the Allegheny County Tax Collector’s Office tomorrow for an unrelated topic.  I’ll ask and see if they can provide any insight.

Awesome flip @Philip Coiro!

What part of town?

Also, if you don't mind more questions, how'd you find the deal? MLS or marketing?

@Keenan Kimbrough,

Awesome news!  Congrats!
What part of town are you looking at?  If you’ll reside in the property, looking into a 203K Home Rehab loan may help with repairs to an imperfect structure.

The 203K will give you some great great instant equity as well (if the contractor costs are fair).

How many unit property will you be looking to purchase?

Good luck,

Dave

I say keep the window and make sure there’s a hood vent...so #1 or #3.

I personally like lots of natural light in the kitchen.
