Great story. How even 1 house is possible with a full time-job of 60 hours a week is beyond me. Everything and anything will require multiple phone calls, mistakes from contractors, clarifications, etc. And once you pick up the phone all off a sudden you'll have 5 people by your desk for work-related issues...and not to mention your boss who would love to know who's on the end of that phone call. But hey. That's my opinion. As to your original post, congrats!!

Thanks Christopher. But one point remains - if I get a commercial account, they'd make me pay commercial rates. and I don't know which is more, residential, commercial, what the thresholds are like it reaches a certain kWh then a new rate kicks in, etc. I was thinking of doing what you were saying earlier as a possibility, end the headache and just get it in my personal name, but then come Apr my accountant will look at me funny for putting everything under my LLC except for my electrics - and Why? will be the question of the week when I'm doing taxes.

Hey guys, have a question here. I've been bounced around for 2 days now. I just closed, and I need to put the electrics into my name. However, I need to put it under my LLC name. When they hear LLC they keep giving me a commercial application. I keep telling them it's a residential property but it's under my LLC name. I feel like I'm exploring a new continent over here, knowing all too well what I'm trying to do has been done millions of times, or am I wrong? Is it possible to put a residential property's electrics under your LLC name. My LLC name is all over the place for everything else on my property, so I don't get why I'm being stonewalled with the electrics. Any advice appreciated. I have to call back on Monday and resolve this, because I still have no power in my condo.

Thanks..Far as I know, it's a 5% discount for HD cards. The problem there is I can't use the 10% coupons with the 5% discount, as a manager told me one day, "you can't double dip" :)

Hey guys. Been trying to figure out the best way to pay for the construction materials, and best thing I could come up with is the Citi Double Cash for 2% cashback. The Home Depot and Lowe's cards I don't think are worth it, I can get 10% coupons myself and they're offering 5% off, so no point. I was thinking something home rehab-centric for 5% cash back..Just planning right now, don't want to go in without a plan and then lose on my cashback opportunities at the end. Please share your experiences with this if you don't mind.

Thanks Hattie, never realize an insurance policy could be month to month, for my own house where I live I always had it year to year, so that's definitely good to have that option.
