thank all of you for your opinions! I kinda don't know where to start networking in my area. I can use the VA loan but i have to live there for a year. I want to invest in multifamily properties. House hack. i would like to invest as soon as i get back from deployment and learn as much as i can while out to sea. It is hard to make a plan about the financial freedom i want to achieve since I'm not exactly sure where i will be in 5 years but as of right now for the next two and a half i will be in eastern VA but plan on moving back to NJ (where the property taxes are insane) but that is where i want to plant my feet forever. The ultimate goal is to own property in many places across the country. Obviously that is a long while away but i was told to work backwards.

I am looking for some advice on my next steps in this journey I'm embarking on. I am in the US military so i don't have a lot of  but enough time to start investing in real estate. I leave for deployment in about 6 months or so and am going to be saving up some money to invest when i get back. I am here to ask if there is anything i can do before i leave and the next six months to get my foot in the door and immersing myself in the culture of this world. I am 22 years young and a woman and also nervous that people won't take me seriously. I want to start networking and figuring out what i can do to set myself up in the best way for when i get back. Hello everyone! So I'm starting to get into investing and house hacking really. My real estate agent and financial manager guy are trying to tell me that I can't get a VA loan for a multifamily home i was just wondering what the opinion of everyone on here is and what my next steps should be?
