I can verify what Steve is saying is 100% accurate. No need for the confusion unless you did not understand his post. And yes, some may have been grandfathered in pre codes and laws regulating STRs. But as of today what Steve said is the requirements for Detached and Attached HPRs.

Hey David,
I'd love to help you out with your RE search.
Obviously, a lot of this all depends on your price range. There are multi families that are affordable but they are very competitive! Especially if they are on the MLS, expect multiple offers and cash buyers. You can still be competitive without cash, just have to have a good strategy and a great agent, like myself! ;)
Anywhere in Davisdon County is almost a great investment if you purchase for the right price...
And unless you plan to live in the Condo downtown, you will not be able to get a permit for Airbnb, more than likely!
It would have to have a specific zoning to allow a non owner occupied Airbnb, that is not residential... to my understanding anyways... If you are plan to Owner Occupy, then you're good to go. Should be fairly easy. Just check with the HOA!
