@Toyin Dawodu Great advice. I appreciate the advice and needed it, actually. Thank you for your post as I will do just as you advise and contact a seller today. Thank you so much for making my day.

This is definitely a great encouraging post as I would consider myself in the 95% at this time. I guess it's the fear of not knowing enough or being taken advantage of, as others have stated. I, as well as others facing the same fears, need to trust themselves and ask BP for advice when needed and know everything will work out. In the end, knowledge is acquired whether it's a great deal or a not so great one so its time to part of the 5%! :) thanks for your post!

@Robert Laird @Chaz Reid @Larry Fried @Aaron T. I definitely would love to attend some REI meetings. I know Tampa is definitely a great market for RE. I am looking to buy and hold at the moment but would be open to other niches.

Hey everyone. I'm fairly new to the Tampa area and bigger pockets. I've been researching and reading on this site and have a real passion for getting into real estate investing. I am definitely feeling overwhelmed thinking about making my first purchase but also very excited. If anyone would like to meet up or if there are any meetings coming up, please let me know. I would appreciate it. :)

I am very appreciative that this site and forum was created as it's provided an abundance of great information and look forward to reading and responding to posts in the future!

Hey James.

I just recently moved here as well and am also looking to get into real estate in this area. I am just getting started in truly educating myself in the real estate world, hence, joining biggerpockets. I have no doubt that we'll both have success. :)
