I've been hearing about this for a year or so now. The big trend for farmers is to start getting into the agritourism business. Not only do they make money working the land, but also buy charging people to do things like run around in corn mazes and the like.

I was just curious what other activities people create for this "agritourism"? Are there things other the mazes? Fields of Dreams, maybe?

Hey. I too would rather go in with someone I trust rather than pay a management company. There are certainly reputable ones out there. I just like to keep my expenses down. If a partner can help to run your property, all the better. Just my 2 cents.

Neither one is "better". The key is finding either a FSBO or realtor listed property that is a good deal, period. Use all the resources you can to find deals. :D

Offer to pick up the cost of a fee/expense that is normally paid for by the seller.

e.g. Title insurance or other closing costs. If you cover these expenses instead of the seller, it will increase the sellers proceeds. This can amount to a few thousand dollars on an expensive property.
