Maybe also consider Round Rock, TX, it's a little farther out but it's a great suburb. Would love to connect to talk about this more!

This is a relatively common investment strategy. Would love to connect with you and chat more about it.

Staying within Austin city limits right now is tough, so good call looking eastward. Would love to connect to discuss investing in TX!

Thanks.

Dre

Yep, the TX markets are hot right now, and it is tough to find a good "deal." Would love to connect with you to chat more about TX investing.@Frank Teshima@Frank Teshima

Hi Stephen,

Most Texas markets are very robust right now, and I don't think you could go wrong with Lubbock. Lubbock is actually growing very fast, and as you said, the prices there are more affordable. I'd love to connect with you to chat more about investment properties in TX!

Thanks,

Dre

@Kate Bumacod do you have an idea of what purchase price you want, how much you are willing to put into it, and do you have certain cities you have in mind?

@Scott S. I think there are always a lot of moving parts to a 1031 and getting the properties "identify" in that short time period.  If you are going to buy 2 properties are you comfortable with the maintenance and upkeep and potential problems or will that cause you to be over-leveraged if something happened?  You don't have to answer these questions for me, but just lots to think about.

@Eric Babcock Hey, always looking to connect with liked minded people, I help investors in CA and out-of-state investors in TX (mostly DFW, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio) let me know if you have any questions about those markets and we can chat!

I agree with Eric above - there is nothing wrong with considering California. However, I understand if there is a personal/different reason for wanting to invest out of state. Happy to chat and provide advice if interested!

@Manutea Maurin As you have already found, the market in Dallas (and almost everywhere) is white hot right now. Definitely get someone who can help guide you through the process and be an advisor. I specialize in Texas markets, happy to connect with you!
