I am learning about self storage units. Seen some for sale, seen some land that would work great to built a unit. When going through this process are you joining big companies (Lifestorage, U-HAUL, etc), or creating your own and managing yourself usually. Any recommendations on consultants for this matters. Thanks to you all! Let’s have a great week!

Quote from @Colleen F.:

@Andres M Reyes I have used it to rent a room and it was fine. Unlike Airbnb, Furnished finder is a listing platform only. They don't screen tenants etc. There is no insurance. They are good as a tool for finding out if your property is a good fit for this type of rental and directing your ads toward them. You can also post free on some facebook groups often there are ones local to a city.  Take the comments you get on such facebook groups with a grain of salt as some travelers want everything for nothing. Some are very negative.  You can also do monthly on airbnb or vrbo.  There is a lot more interest in this area but many travelers say contracts are falling off in pay. About 60 % want to bring pets.

 Thanks so much, very helpful!

Hi Jeeny,

I did nit get any recommendations from the Forum. I have not rented yet but will consider Furnished Finder. Did it worked for you?

Hi Andres! Which company did you end up going with? Our first rental is almost ready and we are considering Furnished Finder.

Thanks!

Quote from @Herly C.:

This is the first time I'm hearing Zelle charges a fee on money transfer. I've used Zelle for tenants to pay me, and everyday use and never get charged anything.

It’s a Business account with Truist. I think that’s the problem (Business and Truist) 🤷🏻‍♂️

Andres, Chase is an option to switch to if you like the convenience of zelle. I collect rent via zelle and Chase doesn't charge me for it.

thanks, much! I need a better account
