@Kevin Romines

Am I "required" to take the money on the HELOC?

@Kevin Romines

Thank you for your input!

Unfortunately, I’m unsure how these work, could you please explain it?

I'm currently in a VA loan on my primary house, I want to refinance in order to lower my payment but not sure what to do.

I don't believe I have 20% equity in order to refinance out of the VA loan so I can use it again in about 2-3years. But if I refinance into another VA loan I'll be "stuck" for a while right?

I like to thank everyone for their insight.. as far as all the eggs in one basket, that’s exactly what it is.. all of my stocks are in this one company and while it’s def had its ups and downs, it’s been on the up and up, actually hit its all time high the other day.

As far as the investing side, right now I’m house hacking my first home, and actually desperate to get into investment properties.. I just have to travel a little bit for it, my market is too high. I figured I can get several properties within 2-3 hours of me instead of maybe 1 in my area

I’ve been fortunate and blessed to have been employed by a company who has employee stock options over the last 10+ years. Admittedly, I had no idea what I was doing, set my “contribution” to 10% and never thought about it. Right now I’m looking at a large sum that I can’t help to think would be better served in the RE market.

Would cashing out be a good idea? It’s a big chunk of change that I’d be able to use to buy several properties. I also have a smaller amount in a 401k. Would a loan against the 401k be a better idea?

I'm thinking about jumping into the Albany (and/or surrounding areas) markets. Specifically buy and hold multi-families. I was wondering if anyone has first hand experience with the market, I'm also looking to see what property managers are like in the area. As of right now my only experience is house hacking my personal house in NYC.

@Chris Clothier

Does your company do "Turnkey Apartment Complexes"? Does that even exist?

Can you get the bonuses by buying the kindle version? Or only with the Hardcover?

Your best bet might be Realtor.com.. From what I've seen and heard from Agents, they have the most up-to-date information on listings on the MLS.

Does anyone have experience with co-ops in Briarwood or Kew Gardens? I see there's a ton of those duplex co-ops for sale at a decent price (high maintenance though). If you live/have lived there or own property in that area I'd love to pick your brain.
