Thanks for the super quick response Todd! I tried to call the city a couple of time but they don't take calls (they say so in the recording...)

Hi,
Does anyone know if I need a special permit in Newton, MA to convert a duplex into a single family? I would usually keep a duplex over converting but this is a different case.
Thanks in advance!

Hey there, I'm about to write an offer to a seller that might finance the deal. Anyone has an straight forward form I can borrow?
Also, any advice on overlooked items or common landmines will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ariel

I agree with what you wrote, but would just like to point out that some of the online resources you mentioned will favor, promote, and even push down negative reviews for their paying customers. Word of mouth might be a safer way to find service.

@Raoul Fruto, this is awesome! I'll give them a call on Monday. I see that they also do multi families 2-4 units. Are you going to occupy one of the units you are buying with this loan? I wonder if they will finance a non owner occupied property.

@Raoul Fruto, interesting that even VA can't get it.

Hey @David White, I always ask the seller/ seller's agent if they have other properties that they are trying to sell. Sometimes, if they are liquidating properties, they'll have more than one.
Cheers,
