That sounds just like a property that was recently sold at the Collin County tax sale.  At any rate, contact me via PM and I will be happy to help you.  I have bought many properties at Collin County tax sales over the years.

Jose,

Texas is a tax deed state, you do not buy tax liens here.  Please contact me and I can direct you to where you can learn more about it.  If you want to invest in Texas for tax sale properties, make sure the person  teaching knows Texas.  So many of the gurus come to Texas and talk about tax liens in other states.

Edwin,

Sounds like two questions.  If you are going thru a realtor for a property that owes back taxes , the contract should specify that the taxes are current.  They may mean they will pay them out of the proceeds of the sale which could be chancy for you depending on the timing.  Just specify that they must be paid first.

The second part of your post says if you bid on the property.  If that means you bid on it at the tax foreclosure sale the minimum bid will be for the taxes owed.  But beware there probably will be taxes owed since the judgment for the sale that would not be covered in the minimum bid.

What state are you in?  The answers will vary.  In Texas, for example it is very easy to get the listings.  I can help you find them.

The answers to your questions will vary depending on what state and when you say foreclosures do you mean tax foreclosures or bank foreclosures
