I am new to REI and I am trying to learn how to find the best deal in the market. This deal is located in NW Indiana numbers are roughly estimated, I am planning to buy my first rental property with FHA loan, live there for one year, then move out and rent it out. I appreciate any feedback.

Me and my girlfriend want to buy our first rental property for house hacking, live there one year and then move out and repeat. We are don't mind to commute from suburbs or share apartment with other tenants if numbers make sense. our budget is 250K, so I was looking either condo in South of Chicago (rent by room) or SFH in NW Indiana (Live on the basement or in law suit and rent out the unit). What would you suggest?
