I am looking for advice if I should just pay my taxes up front when using pre tax funds in lieuof having the IRA own the property and deferring taxes

I am considering two options for purchasing a A+++ SFR cash, Option 1 to place in a self directed IRA and let the IRA own the property and Option 2 is to buy in cash upfront and pay the taxes owed.
I am 62 years old and have another five to seven years prior to retirement and so I am trying to set up my portfolio for income generation by that time. Also the plan is to use retirement funds from my 401K even after which, I should have enough left for retirement. Although, I realize that tax implications will be severe on using pre tax money and will reflect as income.
Thanks.

Thanks Caleb. I am patiently waiting for prices to drop for no other reason than the market stagnation due to high interest rates. This area is highly desirable and there is no doubt about that aspect. The prices have held at their level all this time but I feel that sellers are running out of patience. I don't think I will find a distressed seller in this neighborhood. Like me there are a lot of investors who are familiar with that neighborhood that would jump in at this opportunity for the right price.

Hello, I would like to know whether paying all cash for a SFR in a class A+++ neighborhood is a good investment if I can get it below market value? I have another 5-10 years to retire and I do not want another loan. The funds will come out of my retirement account. I also have four other SFR rentals in very good areas that are doing well.
Thanks

Post: I am looking to partner on a multifamily deal (class A or B)

I am focussing in the Central Florida area around the Orlando-Tampa vicinity. I hope to have $500K to put as a down payment since I have applied for a HELOC. Is anyone interested in partnering in a deal. I imagine that we will need a significantly larger downpayment on a solid Class A or B performing property, say 24 units or larger apartment building.

Thanks.

I believe that we will be officially in a recession by the end of September 2020. Given that the market will take some time to bottom out I figure somewhere between 2022 thru 2024. I am under the impression that the opportune time to invest in a multifamily property would be as early as mid 2022. Any comments or suggestions? Thanks.

Hello:

I am looking for a RE broker in the Orlando, FL area who has experience and owns multifamily properties (Apartment buildings) and has an investing mindset. Possibly even to be a mentor and/or possibly partner in a solid deal in Orlando or elsewhere. My preference is the Orlando market. Thanks.
