This meetup is a designed to bring members of the FIRE community together. We want to bring likeminded individuals together to have open discussion as well as to provide an environment that is focused on sharing.

This Q&A meeting, hosted by Brian Mann and Dave Corsi (MREIA VP), is open to all.  Brian and Dave have a combined 75+ years of investing, rehabbing, landlording and financing experience in the field of real estate investment in NJ.

There is no charge for the meeting, but you will be responsible for your own delicious breakfast!

About the Speakers

Harry Frieland, Esq. is a Life Member of MREIA. He has spoken at our general meetings on countless occasions since the 1980s! His topics have ranged from tax sales, the NJ foreclosure process, contract language and partnerships to bankruptcy. Harry is licensed in NJ, NY, FL and is Of Counsel in the firm of Fein, Such, Kahn and Shepard in Parsippany, New Jersey

He will reply to questions concerning entities, contract clauses, tax sales, mortgage and tax foreclosures.

Paul Gauer, Esq. has 35 years as a general practice attorney including residential and commercial real estate closings, zoning, wills/estates, bankruptcy, divorce, personal injury and patent/trademark. He is a seminar instructor for real estate licensure and continuing legal education. He will reply to questions concerning closings, title and estates.

Derek Reed, Esq. has been a MREIA featured speaker for many years. He is a senior associate with Ehrlich, Petriello, Gudin & Plaza, with offices in Newark, Morristown, and NY City. Derek concentrates his practice in civil litigation with a focus on real estate related matters. He has also extensively lectured on various issues of commercial and residential leasing, R.E. law and is an instructor for Rutgers University. He will reply to questions concerning Landlord-Tenant issues and NJ Real Estate Law.

Hi all!

The listing agent wants a pre-approval letter prior to showing a house my boyfriend and I are interested in. Will having a pre-approval letter for the listing price hurt us if we want to give a lower offer after seeing the house?
