Chirp, Chirp. Fine, I will watch their demo and report back. Above mentioned integration can potentially be the solution I am and this thread is looking for, ie, avoiding the duplication between Buildium and QB.

If above solution doesn't work, maybe it makes sense to create one. Looks like there is a way to create Journal Entries programmatically https://developer.intuit.com/a...

Basically need "read" the owner statement, identify the accounts, map the accounts to QB accounts and create journal entries.

THoughts?

What do you currently use for PM software?

@Ben Scott I know the PM software doesn't provide payment flexibility like you have Venmo, Cashapp, etc. I like the payment flexibility that you have, I am assuming your tenants are asking for alternative ways to pay, therefore such a variety.

@Ben Scott Curious if you or your owners use any property management software. What works for you as far as software to collect rents?

And, in my opinion, the entity functions more like a business than 11 separate businesses. Always make sure to have enough there for tenant deposits though.

Though borrowing works for self-managed properties, I don't think its ethical to borrow from cashflow from other properties if one manages for others. It breaks the fiduciary duty of property manager to the owner whose funds are borrowed.

@Soh Tanaka And that PM software probably doesn't integrate with any of the supporting peripheral software you mentioned. It probably impossible to create a software that encompasses all the use cases under one umbrella. Then, what features does the pure vanilla PM software must have if other use cases are handled by dedicated peripheral software?
