Hi BP Nation,

My colleagues and I are in search of private money and deals in the North Jersey area. We currently have a few projects underway in West Orange, East Orange and South Orange, some being buy and holds, others being flips (both small and more significant projects). At present, we have control of a relatively large pool of capitol and are hoping to grow that number to participate in more projects.

We bought 451 Academy for 369k, put 220k into it and resold for 690k. Should you come across off-market opportunities in North Jersey, please reach out to us. We are interested in both cash and financed transactions, and depending on the opportunity are open to discussing joint ventures.

I am also actively working on deals with my mentor and partner Darren Sager, whom I have partnered with on several successful projects (we met right here on Bigger Pockets!). Active investors in the NJ/NY area may have attended some of the Bigger Pockets meetups hosted by Darren, and I encourage you to attend if you’re not a regular already.

Hi Ceasar, always nice to see new meetups being started. Are you guys aware of the meetups Darren Sager organizes in NYC? The last couple have been in WeWork spaces and were some of the best events I've been to. Between the catering and speakers Darren is able to pull it's a lot of bang for your buck.

I moved on from it actually. Thanks for asking. However, since then I have acquired two properties in South Orange, NJ. My duplex has been performing nicely over the past couple years and the single I just recently picked up and am in the process of renovating before renting out. 

I'll probably start another thread on the single family I mentioned above, would love to hear BP's recommendation on certain things as I move through the project. This will be my first time running a significant reno. So far so good though!
