My new listing: Open House: Sat and Sun 1-4 pm  (March 12th-13th.)

4231 Colfax Ave #E

(note daylight savings time goes into effect this weekend)

Check out the virtual tour: http://4231colfaxunite.com

Was refurbished about 5 -6 years ago, but could use some upgrades. Is in a highly desirable complex called Studio Village. I would love to work with local flippers in the SF Fernando valley, and on the westside. I do find fixer deals, but I need a buyer who can move quickly and aggressively in this competitive market. Stop by, would love to say hi!

OPEN SUNDAY (9/20) 2-5 PM

I want to invite you, to my open house on Sunday (9/20) from 2-5 pm. at 11904 Tennessee Pl. This is a small home in West LA. Its in a great neighborhood, and is the lowest priced home on the westside. This is a fixer-upper with lots of potential. It's rare to find a home at this price anywhere on the westside.

Mike

I think mobile homes are good investments, when they're purchased in highly desirable areas. I've owned one in a beach town, and I'm considering buying another one soon. Do your research because there is a big difference between an all-age park, a senior park, and a mobile home on land.  Also, space rent can be higher than you'd expect.

I agree with others who think you're paying down student loan debt very quickly. If you have a low interest rate, it may be better to keep the student loan. It's definitely a very personal decision.

Check out John Fedro for mobile home advice. Best of luck.

I've read someone on BP suggest that you could put an ad on Craigslist for one of the properties, to rent, and see how much response you get.

Welcome Daniel:

If you're good at self-paced study try realestateexpress.com. If not, take classes at a local junior college. Are you sure you want to be licensed? Some recommend it, some don't. You can take the classes and decide later if you want to take the test. And remember, it costs money to keep your license. Good luck!

I may be out of town on 3/15, but would love to attend, if possible.

Great way to start is by driving for dollars. Narrow down two or three neighborhoods and attend open houses. Also, look at rentals to find out what they're asking to rent, and what kind of shape they're in. See if any for rent properties are interested in selling. Be creative and curious.

Good luck

Welcome, Omar

I used to live in Amarillo and I'm considering investing there. Maybe we can work together. I need boots on the ground.
