Currently in the northeast looking to invest but I can't afford anything in my market, I've been looking at Shreveport and the market is much less expensive than where I'm located. Wanted feedback on the Shreveport is there any room for growth and apricated and how is the rental market doing.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hey Beethoven!  I recommend reading “Long-Distance Real Estate Investing: How to Buy, Rehab, and Manage Out-of-State Rental Properties” - I found it to be very helpful when I got started investing 2.5 years ago.

Here is a summary of the book.

https://www.nateliason.com/notes/long-distance-real-estate-investing-david-greene

The book also mentions the importance of having a rockstar Realtor, contractor, lender, and property manager.

I invest locally in Columbus and Cleveland. I can send you a list of contacts in Ohio to help you build your team, property manager. Let me know how I can help!

Thank you for the link I'll certainly give the book a read, if you could send me the list of contacts in the Ohio market that would be great. Investing out of state is what I'm aiming for at the moment.

I'm currently  in the northeast Providence, RI area which is a little but outside my budget but I'm looking to partner up with another eager real estate Investor. I'm open to investing out of state/ different markets.

I recommend checking out Ohio if you are looking for a cheaper market

Thank you I'll do some research in that market.

Is this for buying a STR as a Joint Venture?

I would be open to that.

Thank you for the feedback, I think that is something I might have to consider is traveling down there myself and checkout some areas and doing a little more research.
