If you own several different properties, even saying they are basically same rental and tenant bracket, can you have different set qualifications for each property? Or does that set you up for a fair housing complaint?

Post: Duplex. Cost of switching electric lines, laundry, from one apt

I own a duplex, and am house hacking. Im going to live in the upper apartment and rent out the bottom. The laundry connections are right now part of the bottom units electric connections so laundry electricity will go to the bottom unit. The electrical boxes for both units are right next to each other. Anyone have a guess on how much it should cost to have the wiring from the laundry switched over to the upper unit?
