I like the Dominican Republic myself. There are significant tax incentives investing there and the weather is perfect. Biggest rick is getting a lawyer that is well versed in international law and has experience in real estate sales to foreigners. The title on real estate can be tricky and squatters can be a major problem.

Actually, I do mean acquire and not seize in the since of take by force. Also, this is not raw land it is distressed property and the development is not a crap shoot it's actually already approved by the city and it is in motion. The development is the beltline in Atlanta.

It's not a rookie investment, I was just curios as to the use of crowd ffunding. THanks for the replies.

I have an opportunity to seize some distressed property in the path of redevelopment in Atlanta, which would be the best option in today's RE investment climate?

Would it be best to go the crowd funding route or get an audience from a self directed IRA, JV partner or what?

I'm curious as to the opinions of others experienced in this arena because I have my pros and cons of all methods, but I've never done an internet crowd funding deal.
