I was asked by Lowe's if I had a certificate to get the materials tax-free. I know that when I worked for a corporation we got equipment tax-free but I don't know how because we weren't a non-profit. My question is, is there a way to get rehab purchases tax-free?

Hi. I just got QB Online and am at the beginning of the learning curve. Does anyone know of any good places to look so I can learn from a tutorial for real estate specifically?

I used www.bestwyomingregisteredagent... to set up my LLC. It was $200 for all the documents, Tax ID, and a year as my agent, then around $50 per year after that.

Thank you. I will check them out!

@Bill Hall, I am an attorney in Wyoming, and I think the cost of $2,000 is absurdly high. As to registered agents, most of those companies that provide that service are massively cheaper than hiring an attorney to do it. I am having a problem understanding why you would want a C Corp. I am having a hard time imagining a scenario where it would be better than an LLC, a Limited Partnership, or a Sub S corp.

Thanks Jerry. I originally got it because I was buying into a retail business but I decided against it and that was right before Covid so it was for the best. The place that did it for me showed me the tax benefits of having a C-crop, even for real estate. Do you not agree? I thought it sounded good but there may be better ways that I don't know of.

So I have a company that has formed a C-corp for me and wants 2k total to form a Wyoming LLC for me. I personally think it is way too much money so thinking of doing this myself. When googling registered agents in Wyoming this one comes up: https://www.wyomingagents.com/

Has anyone ever used them? It is a $25 charge per year which seems fair. Thanks for any advice or input!
