@Lee Bell

There are 3 primary reasons for the homelessness "crisis ".

1. Lack of personal responsibility. People are not working, being responsible with their money, and many are abusing drugs or alcohol.

2. we have too many mentally ill people on the streets largely because we have closed so many mental health hospitals.

3. Finally, the government is constantly making it harder, slower, and more expensive to build almost anything almost anywhere. Especially in California, New York, DC. Etc..

Anyone who targets those 10k jobs will go bust the first time they find a surprise, miss a schedule, or have any of the million problems that can and do occur.

70% or real close.

I can't find wholesaler to bring them to me, but they are still out there if you direct mail, knock on doors etc

@Tristin Sellers

Id look for work in construction. Save more than you think possible. Learn as much construction as possible, while studying real estate.

When my credit and savings allowed, id buy a duplex or triple and start my real estate journey from there.

Your construction background and connections will be tremendously helpful

@Jenni G.

Lawmakers have gotten involved in this in NYS this past June.

If you are in a hot enough market for that, just increase the rent by enough to bring in the extra few dollars.

@Ben Feder

Whether you pull the trigger now or not, start learning and never stop.

Consider finding a partner in your area to pool resources with.

Keep hustling and accumulating cash. When you find a great deal, go for it.

Best of luck

House hack your existing house.

Rent a room. Create an apartment in the basement/attic/garage

Try airbnb, rent out the garage. Be creative. Get your house generating cash, even a small amount..

@Kristin Caras

A generous dose of recreational vehicle antifreeze should be poured into each drain, including the toilet to protect each "p" trap.

Also put some in the toilet tank. In addition to turning the water off .

Alternatively, insulate every thing well so that the cold can't get to it, but the heat can.
