Post: Moving in 4 months. Buy a single family or house hack?

I have a 2 flat property fully rented and I am moving in 4 months to a new state far away. I don’t know the new area I am moving to that well so it may take some time to buy real estate there and find a new team. I was wondering if it would be best for me to buy one more property (likely SF) before I leave or wait until I move to house hack a MF. I’m just worried it may take too long to get familiar with the area and would be nice to have another cash flowing property in the same location as my two flat while I gather my team and learn about the area. Any suggestions?

I am going to be moving out of my 2 unit property and will be looking for CHA section 8 tenants as well as looking to get the best rent possible for when I move out of one of the units. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who is a professional at screening and finding good CHA tenants to fill the vacancy in my property as well as running comprehensive comps to find the best rents I can get for the unit.

I have used Roto Rooter in the past for a quick emergency but I am having a bit of water dripping from the toilet drain in the top unit to the below unit. Roto Rooter charged me tons of money but I want someone that is fair price and knows what they are doing. Any recommendations on the South Side?

Hello Everyone. I just recently became the owner of a two unit property in East Beverly and was wondering if anyone had any references to some good plumbers in the area.
