@Billy Cowell search here for "guru" offerings and you will find they are all the same. coaching, inner circle upgrades, a method, mentorship....blah blah blah. The names change but the methods don't. Some might even offer actionable insights if you have money, though all the info can be found for free.

They are about as scammy as something (usually) legal can be.

Hello, everybody. I hope all goes well with you. I went to the workshop with Phill Grove. I think he did do a good job at his presentation and helped me to find my strategy in Real Estate Investing. So, I want to hear your comment. I have a few questions for you.  

What do you think of Big Dog Program with Phill Grove? This program seemed to expand the network and help people to partner or invest either.

If I don't join this program, how can I build a network and look for serious people willing to invest or partner in Texas?

@MIKE HOUSTON Hi Mike! I’m currently sitting in the 2nd day of the three day training. In the entire time it took me to read your post. I am listening to Phil explain to me what Marketing is. I have a BBA in Marketing. I’m so insulted. We have gone through 1 strategy today. The rest has been various pitches for the Big Dog Program. Im so over it. I thought REIAs were supposed to be supportive.

@Angela Keesee   I just realized you are in McKinney..... before you invest with a guru, come to the Texas Tuesday event at Venture X in Lewisville on August 3rd.   Lots of young investors, good energy, easy networking.   There are plenty of other groups, but this might be a good start.  Free to attend.   I've made many other posts regarding groups here, so you can probably find those posts to find more groups to checkout.  

It has been a while since the original post.  What has your experience with the Taxliencode company?  How has your tax lien/deed purchase journey been?  I recently went to the 90min seminar.  I was really interested in the software they use but not ready to pay 1k + $40/mo without more proof of the value. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Seems like they are sales people that are well versed in tax liens and deeds selling boot camps for classes at 10,000, 26000 and the 40000

I’m interested but don’t want to be scammed!

I'd really like to start investing in tax liens but I'm not sure where to get started and get some training. I just signed up for a 3 day workshop through Tax lien code. After reading all the comments on here, I'm tempted to cancel. Any thoughts from any seasoned investors would be greatly appreciated.

 There are better systems for under 5% of that. Just saying.
