@David Cozzi, yes it’s important that you vet all individuals or organizations to include those involved in syndications. That’s what being a truly savvy investor means. Engaging critical thinking skills while doing an comparative analysis of like products and organizations. Well done.

@David C., I feel the same way. It’s a bit disingenuous or misleading when they say this. They could do a better job explaining themselves. Clearly raising funds and finding deals is an acquired skill set that should be compensated well. I’d add the gurus you speak of are excellent at self promotion much like other highly successful people in different venues.

@Brian Pownall, thank you very much for you added response. 8% preferred return has great appeal regardless.

@Brian Burke, thank you very much for your intelligent response! I’ve heard on a recent podcast that preferred returns may go away in the near future. Do you have any insight on its potentiality?

@Justin Goodin, is there data that compares the number of syndications in the past versus those available now? It seems like there are many more today than in the last 20 years. Are there any syndicators who have been in the business 20 years or more?

@John Morgan, yes, I certainly agree with the buy and hold strategy in DFW (and most areas for that matter) for building net worth. I invest in other area outside the state where appreciation is not the greatest and see your point. We have averaged over $200 per door so we’re are satisfied with our CF and will be investing more for appreciation in our next deal next year.

@Jason Malabute, so true. I’ll add that an abundance mindset is another phrase that pairs well with your giving mindset. The scarcity mindset, the very opposite, is detrimental to growth and I’d add to fulfillment. Finding like minded individuals can result in synergy and exponential growth and subsequently achievement.
