Alison, sure, go ahead and use them! I have no problem with that.
Will, I tend to agree with you. It's too busy for my tastes too, but the buyers really like it.

Jon, there are actually four different houses pictured. They sold for $225K, $105K, $130K, and $212K. In my area, the median price for all housing is roughly $90K.
The cost of the mosaics is cheap enough that it's hardly NOT worth doing. Big impact for relatively low cost. The same goes for granite, in my opinion. All of my flips get mosaics, granite, and under cabinet lighting. The combination of the three immediately creates the emotional appeal to the buyers. Stainless appliances are also a must.

I use ebay for plumbing fixtures. Especially Roman Tub fixtures. For whatever reason, ebay sellers drastically reduce prices on the Roman Tub fixtures.
I've used Amazon and Overstock in the past too.
I also routinely use craigslist.

I use glass mosaics in all of my flips. Not only do I use them as back splash in the kitchen, I also use them as accents in the bathroom.
In the kitchens I go with the standard 4" granite back splash, then above that I fill the void between the cabinet and granite with the mosaics. In the bathrooms I add a 3" strip of mosaics at eye level in the shower stalls.
I'm not a huge fan of mosaics, but it's not about what I like - it's what gets the buyers the emotional attachment to write an offer!
Here are some pics of recent flips... (they all pretty much look the same since I have a common colors for granite, paint, hardwood, etc. in my flips).

There are also shuttles. Sorry, I've never taken one.
A taxi to downtown is about $55 or so, plus tip.
Thanks for that, Jon. Maybe it's just me, but I find their site terribly tough to navigate. I landed on that page once before and never was able to nail down a schedule due to the crazy method of having to click on the arrows. Very poor usability, IMO.
