I am being stationed at Arnold Air Force Base near Tullahoma and Manchester Tennessee (1 hour SE of Nashville). The homes look very affordable there so I am looking to buy my first property. I am looking to buy either a small-multifamily so that I can house hack or a SFR that I can rent out once I leave. Does anyone have insight on the area?

What are good neighborhoods/areas to buy in middle Tennessee?

Experiences to share with the area?

Good RE agents/brokers/lenders in the area?

I am from the Marion area, now living in Colorado. I would like to invest back home because the prices are cheaper and a lot of people rent. However, I don't know much about what are the right areas to invest in and if there are areas to definitely not invest in. Currently looking in the Center City neighborhood. Any thoughts?
