Thanks Bryon!  Sending you a message.  How's the local market doing right now?

Maria, thanks for your response. Open to suggestions but I was looking for SFH's in the Kalispell area for long term buy and hold. Any particular areas doing well in the surrounding area?

Hi my name is Brendon and I've been looking at the Kalispell/Surrounding areas for sometime and would like to get in touch with some Agents/General Contractors/Investors/Builders in the area.  I thought instead of reaching out to each contact I could post here and get referrals from those already doing business in the area.  I live in Southern California so it will be long distance investing but hoping to get some buy and hold properties and or possibly build on some land in the area.  Would love to hear from any locals or professionals with advice/areas to look into/stay away from.  Many thanks.

Thank you both your info. I do have further income/savings, however, this is what I have set aside for an investment property(utilizing leverage if need be). For awhile I was sold on the idea of a multifamily(house hacking), however, that is still quite difficult in SoCal. Right now I'm focusing on BRRRR deals. San Antonio/Austin (San Marcos and New Braunsfells in between). I am also looking at Montana and Idaho but havn't identified a market yet. Much has been talked about Alabama as well but do not have contacts there yet.

Hello all new and experienced real estate investors here on BiggerPockets.  I currently live in SoCal and have been reading the forums for the last year.  I've saved up $50K for my first real estate investment and wondering which would be the top 5 markets to look into.  I am seeking long term buy and hold opportunities.  Many thanks in advance for any assistance/advice.

BP,

Looking for a live in Duplex/Multi-Family in the Lakeway area.  If anyone is aware of one coming up in the area we'd be interested.

Thanks

BP,

Currently living in Orange County, CA and looking for a long term rental property. I'm interested in long term opportunities for cashflow and would like to attempt to aquire a few cashflow opportunities utilizing the BRRRR method.

What's the current outlook in these areas?  Wondering if anyone can recommend an Agent, Property Manager, Wholesaler in the area that I can get in touch with and begin my search.  Leaning towards the Huntsville/Madison area.  Any info would be great.

Brendon

@Joshua Davies

Josh, how you doing?  Your not to far up the freeway from me.  How long you been in the states?  I'm always up for chatting about ideas and swapping ideas.  I'll shoot you a PM and we can connect some time.  All the best!

You can stay under the 100k mark and generally make a safe bet until you “study the streets” in the other areas.

The suburbs are popular but you’d want to spend in the right spots.

I'll keep an eye out for your PM and take a look at those areas; thanks Jonathan!

Building a solid team in the area you are going to invest in is crucial.  That could literally make or break a deal.  Proper due diligence is required to achieve that so just keep that in mind.  I always recommend talking to successful out of state investors first and learn the ropes a bit before spending your money on a deal.  Best of luck!

 Thanks Steve for your thoughts I'll be sure to keep you posted on how things develop.
